Here’s a fun story: During the single-digit cold snap at Christmas, our street lost power for 4 days. My wife’s parents were visiting from out of state and the fireplace kept our house warm enough for everyone to stay comfortable. If it hadn’t been for the fireplace we would have spent the holiday at a hotel. But instead we camped out in the living room and all had the best Christmas in years.
